Okay,
what the heck are these crazy little worm-things that I keep finding on my carpet? Where are they coming from? How are they getting inside? And, most important of all,
how can I stop them?!*has the heebie-jeebies*
P.S. A quick (
very quick, see heebie-jeebies above) Google suggests they are neither centipedes nor millipedes ... though I guess they might be. They've got legs, anyway. What the heck
are they?
P.P.S. They are not silverfish, nor roly-polies, nor house centipedes. They are a little over an inch long, very narrow, with many short legs on the bottom, like a caterpillar has. They are a dark red-brown in color. I think they might be millipedes after all, in which case they're not dangerous, but they still completely gross me out!
P.P.P.S.
captainardi had the link that identified them! Millipedes it is:
Fourth photo down, here. Ugh! Now, how do I keep them out of my home?
