10:16 am - Eisley Concert!

It was great!

The opening act was a band called Vedera.  The lead singer is this tiny little pixie-looking girl with a gigantic voice.  She had cute hair too.  The music was kind of generic alt-pop with bland lyrics, but they pulled it off really well.

Then was a band called The Myriad, who won my heart by coming out in these crazy steampunk-looking outfits, and then producing this awesome, dissonance-laden wall of sound.  Also, their music video has creatures from the Jim Henson Creature Shop:

(I have to say, I almost kind of liked The Myriad better than Eisley... I swear they had a theremin!  We'll see what their album sounds like, though...)

Then Eisley themselves were excellent, of course.  The higher-voiced girl has some strange mannerisms, I have to say.  Twitchy.  They played two encores (sad for the people who skedaddled right after the "last song") which practically brought the walls down.  I'd forgotten how awesomely loud live rock music can be.

*ears still ringing*
