Sent my portfolio off to my old animation teacher (that is, my animation teacher of old, not my aged animation teacher, as he is still under forty) and just got back some amazing, really helpful, very specific crits! I am totally jazzed, as he balanced approval ("I like this work a lot") with specific criticisms of tendencies I have that I need to look to ("sometimes the weight on your standing poses is off"; "sometimes you break the shoulder"), and rounded it off with recommendations for how to improve ("study from life more regarding form, poses and anatomy"). So awesomely cool! This is how we learn ... and never stop improving!
(Btw, do people actually say "jazzed" anymore? I don't even know.)
Also, tomorrow is St George's Day, and also International Pixel-Stained Technopeasant Day! And Shakespeare's BirthAndDeathDay! I am revolving having something nifty cool and free in commemoration of all that universal niftiness!
