With the Project of Doom (tm) almost over and done with (one more shot, a post-last-minute addition by the client, to composite [and a wishlist of corrections and tweaks we'd like to make, just because we're perfectionists], it's practically in the can), I finally have time to do the things I've been missing out on for the past
x weeks, where
x is a number I can't think of off the top of my head, because I am still quite sleepy. These activities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. SLEEP!
2. READ!
3. Spend time with my husband!
Pursuant to activity number 2, I tripped off to the library this weekend and picked up a whole stack of books, two of which (
The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner, and
The Princess and the Hound by someone whose name I have forgotten, and am too lazy to look up just now) I have already finished. Whee! (Both were very good. More on that later.) (By which pronouncement I have just ensured that I will never mention them again. Oy.) I had meant to post the full library list here, and then comment on the books as I finished them, but the books are at home, stacked on the hearth, and I am not (either at home or stacked on the hearth), so that will have to wait.
Other things I am reading, or looking forward to reading:
